Actually, I hit the groove perfectly on Lexington Avenue at 11 AM on a
Sunday once and drove 40 to 50 blocks before I had to stop at a red
light. The double-parkers were more of an obstacle than the lights.

Note the key word "once" there, of course--if it happened regularly,
it wouldn't be memorable. But I've managed stretches of 10 to 20
lights on many more occasions.
