groups has been occasionally buggy for quite a while, and seems to be
not working at all recently.

It seems to do that "not working at all" thing quite frequently. Bah,
junior programmers! It wasn't bad enough when the bozos learnt how to
slow it down with char-by-char echoing in advanced group search, now
they've plumb outdid theyseffs entarly. I think you could probably
fire their whole team, replace them with migrant farm workers, and see
little or no further degradation while experiencing considerable
payroll savings. Heh, nevermind me, I'm a bit pissy since I just
spent well over an hour uninstalling preinstalled garbage that came on
my new laptop in order to get whatever piece of junk it was that was
hanging the system trying to check to see if it had been updated when
there was no connection to anything except the kitchen table.
