happily using all my fingers on the Eee. The only annoying thing is a
tendency to hit the up arrow key instead of right Shift, but I think
that's just a matter of using it more so I get used to the extra reach
with the little finger.

I think it's simply bad design--putting the up arrow next to the
unusually small right shift. It's one of the reasons I sent my eee off
to college with my daughter, who does a fast hunt and peck instead of
touch typing and doesn't have a problem with the keyboard, and got
myself an Acer Aspire One instead.
Ah, yes. Jeff (my friend) commented on the size of the shift key; I
peered at the keyboard and asked, "Is that it?" in genuine doubt.
Most full-sized keyboards have a ridiculously large shift key, but
that's going to the other extreme.
