I think all three of the Yahweh based religions have a tendency to present themselves as monolithic. Maybe that is just human nature, to not only make yourself part of a group, but to ascribe your personal tenets to the entire group.
Obviously, to me, all Christians believe in life after death. Obviously, to me, babies who die are taken under the care of God and the angels, not sent down to hell to burn. What is obvious to me, is not nearly so certain in the minds of some rather large branches of the Christian faith. I'll assume that similar variations exist in the other groups.
