Greetings writers, and fellow aspiring writers. My name is Chuck
Glenn, and I dabble in fiction, mostly sci-fi and metaphysical.
I joined an online group about 2 months ago that uses a system to
encourage writers to actively critique others' manuscripts. Although
I liked the general idea, I didn't like their implementation. As an
experienced software developer, I thought I could do better.
So, I wrote my own system. It is a free service, and will remain so
always. I just opened it up for public use last weekend (April 13,
2008).
The basic mechanism is peer review driven by a point system. When you
earn enough points (usually after about 7 to 10 critiques), you get to
spend those points to put your own submissions into the queue.
The URL is http://write.thruhere.net:88
Please have a look. I welcome your participation, suggestions, and
feedback.
