As a nickname, Bambi generally means babe in the woods, where babe means baby. somebody naive. I don't think of a bambi as first and foremost being sexy, although Hollywood and fiction in general makes me think of all female characters as too young for their positions in society, and well out of my league. I think the issue with a name like Bambi is that it calls up a host of sometimes divergent stereotypes. Some people will probably think of a porn-star, or a stripper, rather than the "newbie" image that I come up with.
