I haven't read the book in question, so I don't know whether the erotic
bits of the relationship are strictly while the guy is in human shape. I
do know that our publisher's view on shapeshifter romance is that if you
do it while the shifters are shifted, as it were, you'd better make it
*very* clear that there's still a human mind in there.

I feel slightly better; I'd somehow gotten it into my head that he was
alternating between an octopus and a wolf. If you see what I mean.
Clearly I was misusing the terminology.
