For the longest time Apple produced keyboard with dots on the D and K
keys instead, and as I was working in a mixed computer environment
where all other computers had them on the F and the J, I usually had a
lot of text rjR ;PPLWS ;OLW RJOA every time I sat down at a Mac after
a while at the DECstations.

I don't use the dots at all; a new keyboard needs some trial and error to
see from what appears on the screen where the keys are. Anyway, f and j
are among the least-used letters in both English and Dutch!
