wasn't sure, and phrased my comments very carefully to avoid
making assumptions.
Oh. I have to post a small puff for myself. I was playing LotRO
this evening, and someone asked an honest question on the /advice
channel, and someone else gave him a snotty answer. So I pointed
out that it was a perfectly legitimate question, and provided the
legitimate answer. Then the questioner and I chatted for a bit
in private /tell, and she said she was used to snarky remarks
like that, it was the Internet.
And I elaborated on the old quotation: "On the Internet nobody
knows you're a dog ... until you bite somebody."
Forget where I saw this:
