It's an ambitious project looking for ambitious writers.
Ambitious writers start at the top-paying markets and work their way
down.
If you're
looking for pay, the internet is not the way to go.
The highest-paying spec-fic market, Jim Baen's Universe, is electronic.
If you want to
write and be read, that's what we're trying to do.
Simpler to set up my own website.
We don't have any
money to put forward at the moment, but as readership grows, we hope
to have some money to pay. There are advantages to publications--at
any level--far beyond pay. No, if you get published here you haven't
"made it" or anything. But you've put a foot forward, you've made a
step. And it is reviewed by a panel of MFAs, so everything that is
published is of exceptional quality.
An advanced degree does not equal competence. Notice what people with
MBAs have been doing.
It is not a place for the short-
sighted but for the adventurous.
