Crit: opening, Old Questions

The Antique had a table to himself under the Dome. He could afford it,
and he didn't have either partnership or household.
He also didn't have much business. He was drinking tea and reading the
table when he heard someone clear his throat.
Correction -- her throat.
The Antique looked her over. Hair and eyes black, skin pale (and
currently a bit sunburned). Stood as if she was used to being
uncommonly tall (he was poor at estimating height, and couldn't
remember what was normal for women this decade.) Age probably
mid-twenties.
"Tom Sweet? I'm Jeanette Vang Winkler, and I'd like to talk about us
working together."
