I think maybe there is a continuum with 'show everyone's
thoughts at will' at one end and 'show no one's thoughts'
at the other. I can't think off hand of a good example of
the latter, though there must be some.
I can't offhand think of a whole work done that way,<snip>
Many years back when I insanely wanted to write the Darn Book
that way, someone suggested "Rogue Moon". The librarians had
to dig it out of the stacks for me, but it was indeed
camera-eye.
Now that you mention it, I do remember that. Now if only I knew
where it was packed away ...
5th shelf up about 6 inches in from the right-hand end. They're not
alphabetical, but I pretty well know what I've got. I can immediately
picture the spine of almost any title - probably because everytime I have to
look for something, I end up scanning the lot! Still, its so much easier
since I refused to double-shelve them. :-)
I spotted another one in a very similar style the other day when I was
looking for omni stuff. Of course, remembering what it was is the hard part,
but I recall realising after a few pages that it just wasn't going to show
character's thoughts.
