There are fairies(1) on the stairs at the central branch of my
university library. They follow people up and down. You can hear their
tiny little footsteps en masse.(2) I keep wanting to write a story
about them but the story refuses to be written.

(1) The cute kind that live in flowers, not the normal-sized scary kind.
(2) Or alternatively the linoleum isn't glued down properly.
