The clock groups have tested this to destruction :)
In the UK, it tends to be accurate to a cycle over a given 24 hour period,
but up to thirty displayed seconds advanced or retarded at any particular
time.
We've come up with all sorts of complex tweaks; for example, calibrating a
crystal across a 24 hour or longer period via the mains and using that as
the primary reference.
