Where are babies being fed to meat-grinders?
People may choose to have fewer babies, knowing there's less room for them.
As long as we're being extreme: would you value the life of a human baby over
all other species?

Getting my driver's license wasn't that big a deal.

Or, conversely, those who want to start exploiting Alaska would be benefitting
from the externality of infringing upon the not-well-codified rights the rest
of us have in the existence of Alaskan wilderness without having to pay for
such infringement. These arguments can be set up either way.
