That's my fault. I keep expecting Google Groups to act like a proper

I would consider Lewis the brick. Whether it's because that body of
work can be more fully integrated into the foundation of theology, or
because of the three he has the most direct style of writing, I leave
that up for further speculation. Either would work.
Assigning the role of apple and cat is going to be more difficult, I
think I've figured it out. Tolkien is the apple, because the Lord of
the Rings is the fruit that tempts so many fantasy writers down the
path that leads to a work of Jordanian proportions. And Williams is the
cat, because he's the inspiration for what I'm currently writing, and
instead of writing it am vaccuuming over a post of which of the three
is a brick, an apple, and a cat.
