Where can I read all these?
A combination of hard-disk crashes and lost printouts have left me with only a first-draft version of "Hobbit in Oz", one with a severely truncated ending. I'm hoping to turn up the final text somewhere (there's a bookcase with /something/ fallen behind it...).
I suppose I could HTMLize "A Grown-Up in Oz" easily enough.
Inklngs In Oz? Taliessin Through Oz?
What I hope to someday become worthy of doing, is something like Ozzy characters in an Ozzy vehicle through Logres and Arcturus and George MacDonald's country (especially of LILITH) and the country of PILGRIM'S REGRESS (as well as the Garden of Proserpine and such places) ... whosis' lagoon in DESCENT INTO HELL....
Not as in making fun of these places (or as Disney might send cartoon characters through) -- but as travelling faster, seeing more of the places, exploring how they fit together (like the countries in the Commonwealth), constructing the best vehicle for each....
The idea "Taliessin Through Oz" reminds me of nothing else so much as the anecdote about Verdi, who, as an old man, was once asked why he never buckled down to write "Il re Lear", which had been promised more than once, and might easily have been his greatest work. He answered, "The scene where Lear finds himself alone on the heath terrified me."
