ot: blog intro

Introduction
I suppose most “pros” would posit prose more or less verbose than
these, so I propose to show you my version of prose poetry as the
former forms adject contiguously, vis-a-vis versing prose posed more
conspicuously. Simply put, I pose this where prose poetry is what
you'll hear when wondering where the time went while reading such
rhyme wonderments as wrought here. Writ, and revealed thusly: Whits of
wit written hieronymously.
Hypothesis
I'm sure that at one point in time or another, you, I, everyone with
eyes and ears has pensively considered a story book, a song, a
painting, a play, a movie, or some other such creative
representation. In this instance, you do so of a blog, my blog.
That’s a good thing, I suppose. I appreciate the traffic. However,
the extent and degree to which the effect this material has on you is
identical to that intended by me, its creator, is neither knowable,
nor is it particularly relevant to either of us. That is not to
suggest that one should not consider, and attempt to understand an
author's intentions. Indeed, to ignore the purpose of the author, and
any subsequent critical analysis, in making individual value judgments
is the essence of intellectual sloth. The irony and paradox is that,
despite endeavoring to bring as much information as possible to bear,
any assessment you, or anyone makes will still be fundamentally
arbitrary.
Writing
Writers write, or struggle in the effort, trying to say something
relevant, something that should be heard by someone other than a
person muttering to themself, and we question, both ourselves and
others, as to our relevancy, our purpose. Then, we struggle with the
responses, some honest, some not, maybe all with a portion of both.
Who knows? We reach out, we pull back, we are each tiny universes unto
ourselves, constantly bumping into other little universes wondering
how, or why this or that happened.
Associations
To each new association, we each bring, and are influenced by, a
life's history of past influences and associations. In that respect,
we are each entirely unique. No two people have ever experienced the
same thing in exactly the same fashion, and order. A priori, a
posteriori, archetype, or whatever, there appears to exist within the
human genus a commonality of experience, and by correlation, a
commonality of obstacles that must be encountered, addressed, and
resolved, in order to facilitate evolution as an individual, a
culture, and as a species. They are experienced constantly,
perpetually, in a myriad of ways, for they are the friction, the
conflicts that propel life, and us through it. Their nature is cyclic,
ever repeating until resolved, and virtually incalculable in number.
Clues that hint at their resolution bombard the senses constantly.
Their variety and complexity are common to all, thereby allowing for
mutual, empathetic assistance in their resolution. This material
comprises, and represents in symbolic form, a dream of resolution and
the path to its realization, the resolution and realization of
hieronymous707.
Philosophy
The fundamental philosophical approach of this effort is to examine
and address questions like: What am I missing? Where is it? Why is
it important? What should I do about it? If science is defined as
the systematic observation, evaluation, and assessment of physical,
visible, phenomena or manifestations, then the musings of
hieronymous707 are the similar study and investigation of the
invisible, but true, aspects of Man, or at least one man, and his
nature. This material is an allegory, and written in the languages of
simile, analogy, and poetry. It represents a game for one, and an
other.
Discerment
Use discernment while reading. Discernment is what you decide. It's
not how you decide. Discernment is an end result, a foregone
conclusion. A lot of people get confused by that, but make no mistake.
How you decide is completely different than what you decide. How you
decide is reason. Hopefully, you are a reasonable person. Reasonable
people make reasonable decisions. Reasonable means purposeful - full
of purpose. What do you do on purpose? Is that reasonable? A
reasonable purpose makes for good discernment. Enjoy the game.
That's what we play here, a game - tit for tat, this for that, one
then another, you tell me, I tell you. Here are the rules as far as
I'm concerned: Do whatever you want; wherever you want; whenever you
want, without restriction. That's it, one rule. Here's the catch. If
you want to know what I think on any given subject, you must ask a
question at the link provided above. I'll get the message. I have
neither the time nor inclination to look elsewhere. That’s what you
must do, if you want my help.
Thought/Conclusion
Now, how fast can you think? How fast do you think your mind can
process information? Have you ever tested it? Do you know your own
personal thought speed limit? How fast is the speed of light? Which is
faster thought, or light? Do you know that even the dumbest of
dummies thinks faster than the speed of light? Now you do! You picked
up on that one pretty quickly! Fast even! Now, think faster! ...
How? How can you possibly think faster than what you presently
understand to be your own personal thought speed limit? Supercharge!
