Well perhaps it’s still a few bends away, but to help it alongwww.writelink.co.uk annual Spring Fever poetry competition, sponsored
by WriteItNow software,http://www.ravensheadservices.comhas been
revamped and will definitely cheer you up during these last dismal
days of winter!
Spring Fever is totally on-line and calls for 40 line poems or less
with a spring-like theme, relating to either one of the site gallery
photographs or one of your own choosing.
Either way, poems and photographs appear live on the site and are open
to public viewing, voting and commenting on. This is a great way to
get feed back on your work, but final judging is by human editor.
There are cash prizes of £50, £30 & £20 for the winners plus other
prizes.
Our daily email report keeps you up to date with your position in the
competition.
Cut along to the site and see what has all ready been entered. We
only accept 100 entries so register a place and get your entry in by
the 21st March, 2008.http://www.writelink.co.uk/springfever
I read the poem, "Bluebell Warriors," that your last link took me to.
LL1-2:
I saw the evening shadows bright,
trail from the drum of encroaching night
LL 5-6
In that fair and lovely light,
I stood and stared from shadows bright
What are "shadows bright"?
