Effective intelligence defeats terrorism: not big ships and big bombs and
big armies of occupation. We know this, because we (most of us, anyways)
have learnt about terrorism and counter-terrorism over the past decades.
Mostly we've learnt the hard way, admittedly, despite the big ships and big
bombs and big armies of occupation.

On a bit of a tengent, I know, but where was the US Government's support for
the people being blown up in London and Manchester and Warrington and
Brighton and Deal and Belfast and Omagh and many other places including all
points Ulster between 1970 and 2000? Maybe the US Government people were
too busy hosting and attending money-raising events for "freedom fighters"
to care about the people being blown up and shot and threatened and
extorted and terrorised by those "freedom fighters"? Real people, with real
lives, hopes, families, grannies and kittens and everything - except an
American accent, of course, which was a bit of an oversight on their part.

When is a terrorist a terrorist, Max? When they threaten your family? When
they threaten mine?

ps: has anyone in the US Government learnt to read a map yet? If my
intelligence is correct, at least 17 of the 9/11 hijackers were Saudi
Arabian ...
