*smile* I'd forgotten about March Madness, but today is the Ides of
March, which was once upon a time the date contemplated to be the
wedding date. How are the O'Neills? I can only imagine two kids. Are
you trying again for a third? Am I too personal? Whew! I have two cats
and whew!
What if there aren't any boundaries? What if we create them?
"Mind-forg'd manacles", and all that.
Here's a quote:
"Fear is the path to the Dark Side. Fear leads to anger, anger leads to
hate, hate leads to suffering." -Yoda in Star Wars Episode I: The
Phantom Menace
I'd not heard that about fear and I saw the first Star Wars when I was
twelve or thirteen. I heard depression is anger turned against oneself.
And fear releases adrenaline that either freezes the scared, scatters,
or causes the scared to battle the threat to survival.
Here's the poem:
London
I wander thro' each charter'd street,
Near where the charter'd Thames does flow,
And mark in every face I meet
Marks of weakness, marks of woe.
In every cry of every Man,
In every Infant's cry of fear,
In every voice, in every ban,
The mind-forg'd manacles I hear.
How the Chimney-sweeper's cry
Every black'ning Church appalls;
And the hapless Soldier's sigh
Runs in blood down Palace walls.
But most thro' midnight streets I hear
How the youthful Harlot's curse
Blasts the new born Infant's tear,
And blights with plagues the Marriage hearse.
-- William Blake
Isn't William Blake like that street corner preacher wailing away after
passers by with his scripture in hand and tattered clothing on his
back? He has the rhythmic voice of that preacher yet he's not Oral
Roberts in that Blake prefers living under over passes to dying in
glass houses. I just made that up. I'm under pressure to run......!
