No joke. I do agree that this is differeent - an award for what he
promises to do, what he represents, not for what he has done. Still,
relief of the world that Geroge W. Bush is no longer president.
I do not agree with this comment:
"It's been many, many years since the Peace Prize has had any
credibility."
That someone does not agree speaks only of that person's opinion and,
as we all know, everyone has one of those...
I am surprised and delighted by this year's choice. My hope is that
change can indeed win out, and that hope is of great value to me and
to many others.

Usually the Peace Prize is awarded for solid achievement NOT hope and
wishful thinking. I like that he was awarded it because it is a prestigious
prize. He joins other sitting Presidents Wilson and Roosevelt which is nice.
But to give the prize for accomplishing nothing DOES dilute the value of the
Peace Prize. Take care
