You can go to their web page, mightybright.com, and order an AC
adapter for your lamp. That'll save a lot of batteries when you're
using it near a power receptacle. I ended up buying the little
clip-on base, as well. It's weighted by a magnet and sits nicely on
the mattress so I can read in bed without clipping the light to the
Kindle.
Actually, I bought two more lights (purple and silver), three
adapters, three bases, and a large and a small key ring light. I'm a
sucker for flashlights and book lights.
