That's what's amusing.
I saw the show--as a card carrying-USian, it was a dreadfully bad American accent. What were they thinking? (actually ... that goes for the whole show. I think the occasional archaic lanuage such as "smite" was meant to be clever, but the actors looked unconvinced.)

Sometimes when I watch a television show, I am overcome with admiration for the actors who somehow are able to utter the most incredible lines without succumbing to the gales of laughter that the lines cause me to fall into. Trailers or promos for shows and movies are especially hysterically funny, yet these consummate actors manage to deliver the lines seriously.
