Hey, what's this I hear about Ike passing over AUSTIN as a Cat 2 hurricane? Holy crap. Keep safe, Melissa.

Mary

Yeah, it's, um, concerning.

My school is designated an evacuation site and we're 5th on the list of schools to take people in. We're expecting 250+ people camped out in our gym starting tomorrow. But Austin may not be all that safe either. We're looking at flooding and hurricane-force winds Friday night and Saturday, based on current projections. Not only that, it's possible this thing could spawn tornadoes around its edges. Yikes.

Texas was supposed to play Arkansas here on Saturday, but they've rescheduled it for 9/27. Oddly, both teams were off that weekend so it seemed like an easy decision. But you KNOW it's a big freaking deal when they start messin' with Texas football. ;)

Thanks for thinking of me.

Melissa
