Oh yeah, as if Al Gore could have done a worse job over the last 8 years. Safe indeed.
Now there's a thought. Speculating about what Gore might have done
over the last 8 years might be fun.

Given his propensity for exaggeration and panicking about imaginary or
barely perceptible threats, I wonder just how he'd have responded to
9/11.

but have fun trying to catch me anyway :-))
As others have noted, your Gore jibes seem quite pointless. Threatening us with the request that we go a little easier on the planet seems far more innocuous than lying to a country, breaking its laws will-nilly, and invading and bombing other countries without just cause.

Spare me.

I really don't believe this. Clinton tells blatant lies under oath
and that's OK. Bush lies and that's not OK. It really is irrelevant
what the lying was about. It was still lying.

Clinton lied and nobody died. In personla moral terms, I see the equivalence, but in terms of worldly consequences, its a vast difference.

At least Bush has the
excuse that it was a judgement call based on intrinsically unreliable
intelligence and that there were other important issues at stake.

It may have been 'intrinsically' unreliable, but he and his useless crew put their thumb on the scale and deliberately blinded themselves to contrary evidence. Furthermore, most other countries, confronted with the same intel, saw no need to take action.

Gore tells blatant lies, but it's OK because he's a Democrat and one
of us. Like us, his heart is in the right place and he's just lying
in a good cause after all.

I won't bother asking you to detail them.

The double standards here, and the defensive posturing about what was
a harmless, even trivial message.

How dare I question the bona fides of a Democratic icon.

Well, *** you. How dare you tell me I can't do it, or that I'm a
troll because I did.

I guess this will be our last correspondence. The same to you, with cherries on top, and ice cream on the side.
