war, like alot of great war/tragedy films had a love stroy running

It's a classic now. It wasn't when it was made. Your arguments are incoherent.

Look, I don't expect you to prefer American TV and movies. If you're British, you SHOULD prefer what your culture produces. Fine. Just don't keep expecting the rest of the world to slavishly follow your proclamations, especially when your arguments are based, as far as I can tell, on your own opinions and nothing else.

It makes you look smug and insular. You may not be, but you're not demonstrating it here.
