This request is not completely off-topic as it has become a bit of a
mystery.
My brother had this figurine/statue of a cowgirl sitting on a bedroom
shelf for decades:

I have spent the last few hours looking on Google, eBay, "Figurines-R-
Us", etc. to see if I could get some info about it. No luck. So I
figured I'd try the collective knowledge of RAM. Can someone give me
an idea of where else to look -- or identify it? It stands 13-3/8
inches tall and has 'Copyright (the symbol) 52, Plastic Art Novelty
Co' and 'Gillette 52' on its base.
Ebay is going to be my sister's and my friend if we can figure out
what we are looking at.
I love challenges like this. No luck so far, but still looking. Just from its appearance I suspect it was designed around 1950, so a copyright date of 1952 seems right. "Gillette 52" is intriguing. The 52 is likely just the year again, used as part of the model number, but the Gillette suggests this could have been a shaving premium of some sort (for buying razor blades, say, or shaving cream). As a premium for a men's product, this sort of mild erotica isn't too surprising. Being plastic and inexpensive, these kinds of things often get made and copied for years, especially the popular ones. I wonder if you (or I) would have more luck trying to track it down as a potential product premium?
