Depends on your climate and heating system. It regularly gets down toI live in Maine. We keep our thermostat at 60. The radiator in my bedroom is
the bottom 50's by morning in my house(GREAT sleeping!) until I get up
and start a fire. That's when it's cold outside, which is what happens
in winter in Wisconsin.

Mary Loomer Oliver (aka Erilar)
turned off, so it's reliably in the 50s in there. I keep the window open
until late October/early November, which is usually when we finally turn the
heat on.
I *really* don't like it to be hot when I'm sleeping, and my definition of
"hot" is probably 60. <G> Flannel sheets are not for me.
Jenni (thermostat at 65, thankyou!) :-)
We keep our thermostat at 65, but have half the vents in the bedroom closed, so at night when the door's shut (and it is, we have five cats) it generally gets down to 58 - 60, which is where we sleep well.

We like it warm. Jack worked outside for most of his working years and when he got home he wanted it warm. Since I like being warm as well, that worked out for the both of us. Our house is set at 70 at night. I admit I could have it a bit lower, but Jack likes to be warm. Also, I do not like a pile of blankets at night. A *** (flannel) and a thin electric blanket with my own controls is all that I need. And most of the time the electric blanket is off.
