Oh, now you've dropped one shoe! Give!!! You can't just tell this to one person now, you know. It sounds like a good story.

So sorry for all that has happened to you in the past year. I went through something similar about 20 years ago, and know it ain't easy, but I suspect you're right about the only child thing. I'm one of them, too. Except for my 7 half-brothers and half-sisters on the other side of the family.
