Still that does not excuse her bad writing over the past years.

I don't see why Cornwell is complaining. Basically, her tally before
she made her plea was running on par. ALL her latest books have gotten
poor grades.

At Risk had 203 reviews on Amazon.com for a low average of 1.5 stars
Trace had 330 reviews for a 2 star avg
Blow Fly had 716 reviews for a 2 star avg.
(Whereas the older Body Farm and Cruel and Unusual had 4 star
averages)

Now that she's whipped some fans into a frenzy, the tally is about 55
one and 55 five stars for Book of the Dead. But really, does it
matter? Reader reviews would be irrelevent to her if sales were
good. Ergo, sales must be pretty bad. Does she really think it's a
plot and not her writing that's lowering sales?
