I can never understand how Jane and Shelley manage to live on each
others doorsteps, know each other's business and yet still remain so
distant and polite to each other. They need a good ding-dong row in my
opinion.

That never bothered me, but Shelley's darn near invisible husband
bugs the heck out of me. It's not as if Churchill has to pay the guy
a salary. Shelley's kids are almost non-existent. Since these three
have never played much of a part in the stories, it would have
been better never to have invented them.

I thought Shelly was widowed, right? Doesn't she live off the profits
from the family pharmacy? Or am I thinking of another series? Take care

No, that's Jane. She has a policeman boyfriend. I actually can't remember
a thing about Shelley's husband.

Doesn't he own like a chain of Greek restaurants or something? He was buying
the building (theater?) that was the location of one of the recent books.
He's mentioned now and then... I think his name is Paul?
