Acetone and hydrogen peroxide in 30% concentration
have been mentioned in the press..

That's it. And the article that I read pointed out that in small
quantities, you could drink either of these and live, which means that the
"passenger has to taste it" test is pretty meaningless.
30% hydrogen peroxide would make you violently ill immediately and while you
might live for a while the effects would be pretty bad. If you drank or
sipped this in front of an ispector she would immediately sense something
was wrong with you and you woudn't get on the plane. Take care
