Interesting isn't it how you mention nothing about men. Are they not part of
the equation? Are you suggesting that men have no responsibility when it
comes to sex or a resulting pregnancy? And what of pregnancies that are the
result of rape or incest? No responsibilty for that either? This total ban
would not allow any woman to choose to have an abortion under any
circumstances, including the fact that she could sacrifice her own
life...There are more than 14 states attempting similar legislation this
year -- with the hope by the pro-life movement that one challenge to these
laws will work its way to our Supreme Court and that the result will be
making it a CRIME to have or perform an abortion anywhere in the US. Please
remember that those promoting this are the same people who oppose sex
education, and the dispensing of birth control information, etc. And yes,
they oppose the sale of contraceptive devices. All the ways to prevent
unwanted pregnancies they are opposed too. If they win, there'll be NO
choices for anyone with regard to controlling sexual health decisions. .

Mississippi, which you obviously know nothing about, ranks as the poorest
state in all the USA. Think Third World country poor. I've not only seen
it, I lived and worked there for more than 5 years -- with social service
agencies and other not for profits around the state. And it is a very rural
state with limited transportation options for anyone, and some of the
poorest people live in the area known as the Delta. How do you suggest these
women GET to another state, or another country? Those with money and means
probably won't be affected nearly as much. They will still have the right
connections and means to have access to safe procedures with doctors. The
poor and anyone else without the resources? It will revert to just like
before Roe v Wade -- back alley abortions, attempts at self-aborting,
disease, mutilation, and deaths.

Please do not oversimplify the extreme importance of this issue and the
chilling effects it will have on women's health across this nation.
