My shower curtain has inscriptions in Latin - Classy eh!
Dave in Toronto
Estne volumen in toga, an solum tibi libet me videre?
Kat Richardson
Is that a very large toga that I see you wearing?
Ellooon
Is that a (book) in your toga or are you just glad to see me?
(boy, my Latin has deteriorated, not that it was very good, to begin
with....)

Thanks for the translation - I was trying to work it out with a
Latin/English dictionary - My own previous Latin was limited to "Sic
Gloria" which I knew translated as "Gloria was sick on the train."
Dave in Toronto
And I rememberr the first line from one of my Latin books humpteen years
ago.
Gallia est omni divisa in partes tress (or some such)
All Gall is divided into three parts.
Oh, Latin is a language,
As dead as it can be.
First it killed the Romans -
And now it's killing me!
The world is divided into two kinds of people: those who remember the
immortal opening line of Caesar's Gallic War as "Omnia Gallia in tres partes
divisa est," and those who remember it as "Gallia est omnis divisa in partes
tres".
GALLIA est omnis divisa in partes tres, quarum unam incolunt Belgae, aliam
Aquitani, tertiam qui ipsorum lingua Celtae, nostra Galli appellantur. Hi
omnes lingua, institutis, legibus inter se differunt. Gallos ab Aquitanis
Garumna flumen, a Belgis Matrona et Sequana dividit. Horum omnium fortissimi
Rhenum incolunt, quibuscum continenter bellum gerunt.
initium capit a flumine Rhodano, continetur Garumna flumine, Oceano, finibus
septentriones.]
