This is nothing new, you know. In the 1950's, the left supported
Stalinist Russia just as enthusiastically as they support Islamic
regimes now. It is the major reason why I'm so disgusted with the left
wing, and why I no longer consider myself a "liberal". Somehow, when
Americans beat up homosexuals, it's a horrible thing and should never
happen, but when Arabs put homosexuals in jail and behead them, it's
just "their culture".

Personally, I think that quite a few of the Berkeley wackos who are so
enamored with Arab nations should move there. I don't know where the
right-wing wackos should move, but I think it should be somewhere
equally far away.

he wishes to return us all (see New Yorker interview/piece, couple
of years ago).
