*10* possible places that Hollywood could get an idea from to make ahe based it on a local legend.)
film,
how many if any, can you name a movie that best represents each
category ?
1). Myth or Legend--Sleepy Hollow (Washington Irving wrote the story,
but
(also easy)
2). Real Life Person--Walk the Line, Ray, My Left Foot (this one's
easy)
3). True Story or Incident--The China Syndrome, Norma Rae, Gunner
Palace
4). Book, Fiction or Non-Fiction--This is so easy, I'll skip it.
5). Stage Production--Noises Off, Deathtrap, Henry V...
6). Radio Show--The Shadow (I wish they'd done it better, though.)
I LOVED the Shadow and have wished for a remake or sequel(s). The
effects were great.
Take care
Heheh.... well, alas, when I say "better" I mean "cast someone who can
act".
It looked gorgeous and they did do a very nice job with the FX but Alec
Baldwin leaves me cold. Pretty, but....

Yes, that's the point. To me Baldwin is very sexy looking. After all, a
handsome man who is a mediocre actor will always trump a troll who can act
beautifully. Look at Steve Buscemi or Gary Oldman for example vs. Tom
Cruise. Unfortunately beauty defeats talent. Take care
But, but... I never thought of The Shadow as sexy-_looking_ really. Is
Lamont Cranston _supposed_ to be drop-dead gorgeous? I always had the
impression he was supposed to be nothing special in the looks department.
I'd rather have a good actor convince me he's pretty than a pretty actor
try to charm me that he's talented. But, then... I like Adrien Brody and
there's definitely very little "pretty" about him. Jeeze... the _nose_!
But boy, can that lad ACT!
