OT: Give Me Your Solution

I have lived where I am now since 1992 - no problems - very little
crime - maybe a shed break-in - an attempted car theft once in a
while. That pretty much covered it. We have neighborhood watch
group and a patrol. The patrol consists of people who have attended
the police academy for six week course. The patrol has dwindled
considerably. I don't actively participate any more because I feel I
don't see well enough to drive at night.

This addition is a corporation that is run by a Board of Directors of
which I am one. I am the one that deals directly with the attorney's
office on evictions, etc.

The 3rd of June I had white paint thrown on my car - rear bumper - not
enough to be concerned about so I did a police report but no claim
filed with the insurance.

The 23rd of June I had paint thinner thrown all over my car as did the
manger of the office. We felt it was a young guy here that we stopped
from painting his old truck in the street but it could be any number
of people. Filed a claim on this loss as well as the previous one.
The early one I thought didn't amount to anything came to about
$600.00. The claim on the paint job was over $4,000.00 plus a rental
car for two weeks. Was inconvenienced but not too shook.

Walked out this morning and my car has been hit again - they managed
to get the paint thinner on places that were missed before but
obviously it was hurried job. Called the insurance company and the
police. They are both investigating but I don't have lot of faith in
that. The manager of The Homes had her car damaged as well.

I don't really care that much about the car but I am concerned about
the fact that they might try to poison my dog or something like that.

Anybody have any suggestions as to how to apprehend the culprit? With
all the mystery background one of you should come up with something.

I'm thinking of doing flyer today and pass it all around the place
and offer a reward for any information.
