Ping: Canadian Friends

I rec'd the paragraph below from a friend of mine - do any of the Canadians
in the group have any suggestions? Do the states in Canada have something
like our Chamber of Commerce that dispense information re travel. They will
be leaving from Northern Wisconsin where they summer and heading down to
their winter home in Florida. Any suggestions will be forwarded too my
friend Jinny.




Hi Joan.

HELP!! Larry and I are working on plans for our fall driving trip through
Canada into Maine and on down the East coast to Florida. The plan is to
leave at the end of September, and be on the road for approximately a month
or so. Larry wants to avoid the interstate highways as much as possible.
But, we still want to hit the highlights in the various areas. I have been
searching on line for publications for Ontario, Quebec, etc. I am
frustrated, because all I am finding is websites that want me to watch
videos, book motels, etc. etc. etc.!! I need books, so Larry can get
involved. I have not even ventured to try Maine and the other states in our
path. We did stop at pick up maps and travel books at AAA while in Green
Bay. Do you have any other ideas?? They would be much appreciated.
