yes, the short 'Royal River' was made with two three strip cameras,
one for each eye. It could not converge on close-ups.

And Technicolor's 3-D unit was comprised of the same (or whether it was
the same unit is still unknown). MONEY FROM HOME and FLIGHT TO TANGIER
are the only two 3-D features shot in 3-strip using this rig. Sadly,
neither has had new prints struck.

---The "Royal River' consisted of two three-strip cameras side by side
shooting straight ahead. The inter-axial was the width of a Technicolr
camera, so the film was all hyper stereo.

The later Technicolor rigs were in an L-configuration with a large
semi-transparent mirror
like the "Space Hunter" Panaflex rigs.

The other Telekinema rig consisted of two Newman-Sinclair cameras in a
Naturalvision-type set up. The Newman-Sinclairs took a 200 foot load.
