That would be CHELSEA GIRLS (1966), which - as I understand it - worked
by having two 1.37:1 images projected side by side on two separate
screens, slightly different from Duo-Vision.

Another recent film which used similar technology was AKA (2002), shot
on digital video and transferred to 35mm for theatrical release. In
that case, three separate 1.78:1 images were placed side by side,
letterboxed within the 2.35:1 frame, each providing separate views of
the same scene. The DVD version actually squeezes the resulting 5.34:1
(!!) image, which rather spoils the effect. A separate 'full-screen'
version (in which the film unfolds in a single 1.78:1 format, like a
regular movie!) is included, under the title AKA: LIES ARE LIKE WISHES.
