Customer review on the website:
I work on film sets, as location sound mixer.
After using iPower 520mAh for several years, and getting frustrated
with their lack of over-discharge protection, I hope that this battery
fulfills what it promises.
I have used 16 pcs for 1 week, in heavy rotations:
8 to 10 bateries go through 2 cycles throughout the day.
Lectro IFB's, Lectro Transmitters, Audio Limited Transmitters, Denecke
TimeCode devices. So far every device seems to last longer, much
longer. However, at the end of the cycle, the battery electronics
shows 0V on the contacts, therefore there is no indication where did
the discharge cut off the cells. If they do cut off at 3V/cell, then I
am certain we have a winner. But if they discharge the LiPo's below
2.7V/cell or even lower, then I am damaging the cells, and they will
loose their capacity very fast (as I have experienced with the iPower
brand).
After few more cycles, I will be able to tell if there is no
deterioration. If there is, I intend to take the worse performing
piece apart, and test what the internal electronics actually do to the
cells (charging and discharging).
In the future, I would like to see even higher capacity, since the
newer Li-Po technology allows higher energy density.

Yo vinnie ..Thanxs !
Yep, they indeed look interesting, i ordered a few, straight out of
China , including charger.
I can only find 2 set chargers, I'll guess I'll need a bigger one
after reading the above :)

Yo rtoe, yes, the 2 bay charger is a bummer. let me know how it goes
with these.

the part about discharge is true, but I'm more interested in a
comparison to the Ipower and these one's in the amount of
usage-time-before-plop .

the new ipower 520s are working fine for me at the moment. but i am
hardwired to take them off at 7.5V, a habit grown out of using the
original (older 500mA) ipowers.

btw, may be in your part of the world Sept (IBC).
