I am struggling with short battery life on my Microtrack recorder
which I use as a back up recorder in my bag when going wireless to
camera.

I am now making up a cable to power the recorder from my NP1 setup, so
for those of you that are not challenged by simple electrical wiring:

I have short cable with the mini USB on one end, the other end
stripped back reveals Red, Black, and Yellow wires.
I have a voltage regulator from Dimension Engineering marked Voltage
In, Ground and Voltage Out.
Then I have my Hirose connector... which is the simple part

Can anybody tell me what goes where to get this cable happening..?? I
want to be sure I wont fry anything!

Thanks in advance

Or you can use our MP-3450, which is a 50/100Whr LiPoly pack with both 12V
& USB power outputs and built-in charger.

Also this: http://www.bixnet.com/5v7libapa.html, only 26.6 watt-hours, but
very compact.

I've bought several different batteries from them, and been very happy.
