The 195's should be fine, if they have been maintained properly. The
Sennheiser G2's have an LCD screen, the liquid crystal can freeze up
or at least slow down and possibly stop displaying any useful info.
If you keep the transmitter next to a warm body, it should be OK. I
have shot in -40 deg with no problems with wireless.
Your big concern will probably be cold stiff cables, wind noise and
short battery life!

Hey folks!
I'm going to shoot a feature film in Patagonia, Chile, way down south,
near the very end of the latin american continent.
We're going to have temperatures around - 5 centigrades, high wind and
humidity, maybe even rain in the shoot.
I have a choice of recording in a Cantar (without temperature sensor)
or on a SD 788.
Has anybody used this machines in these conditions? Any suggestions?
I also have Lectros 195D and Sennheisers Evolution 100 G2 wireless
mikes, and I'm afraid about the resistance of these wireless mikes in
such weather conditions.
Any suggestions will be very welcome.
Thank you very much.
