I agree with all of what's been said, esp. the note about MTV shows
having a heavy music bed. Your producers won't care enough to bother
or they'd ask you to multi-track it, and post is just gonna route it
all wrong and make it phase, anyay. I took over for Austin on Parental
Control and spent 165 episodes fielding calls from the post department
about audio issues that were being created by inexperiencd Avid
assistants. FWIW, I got a call in the middle of the FIFTH season
asking why I couldn't iso 2 more people onto Ch's 3/4 on a Panasonic
900 series camera.

Seriously, just pan as needed and keep 'em all cracked open and you'll
be fine. The producers will be concerned with intelligibility, not
outright quality.
