BTW, Cart-size lithium batteries are down in price to about $1300 each<g>!
I am seriously considering two. Can't seem to get the question answered
about floating them across the charger which would be a "must."

No lithium battery can be floated across any kind of charger. Even when
embedded in a system, such as a laptop, the battery is not floated. Lithiums
require such stringent precautions, particularly near full charge, that
completely separate regulation and end-of-charge is mandated. It cannot be
handled with other loads on the battery terminal bus.

I'm not familiar with the specific product you are looking at, but if it is
in fact a bare lithium battery, which is rare, then the above strictly
applies. If you think the pack has an integral charge controller that could
be hooked to an external supply, it has to have separate charging terminals,
although that in itself proves nothing.

With lithiums, you know the penalty if you get it wrong. It ain't pretty.
