The fans on the one I used yesterday stopped when they put the camera into record. I'd just as soon see the whole audio chain disappear from the Red, as would plenty of DPs, I imagine :-p Still, my experience jives with the SD report. Nice to know it's at least almost at the theoretical limit for 16 bit.

metering on the Red is pretty silly, and I wish they would get their
TC gen to output like other pro cameras. And then there is the small
