stamped into each file's metadata. They change as you change them -
they get stamped in each and every time you hit the record button.

The only thing that I think can occur is that if you change a file's
STN after it has been mirrored off to ext media. In that scenario you
will need to restart the mirror from the segment number that you
changed the STN on. In practice I rarely have to do this, and 99 times
out of a hundred I am changing the shot from 2 or 3 segments ago, in
which casr it is a minor issue.

I wanted to point out that this function to me makes no sense unless
they fix the track-naming issue because even if the recordist HAS made
sure to burn every time before he changed the track-names when he
burned the first DVD he would be screwed if he needed to re-burn a day
another time because all the tracks would be named with a static and
wrong setting.
