Most wireless equipment we use bears an inscription more or less like
this,"This device complies with part 15 of the FCC rules. Operation
is subject to the condition that this device does not cause harmful
interference." Not actual registration, but an acknowledgment that
the user has a responsibility to follow FCC regs. The user doesn't
need to be licensed, but I believe the manufacturer does.

You missed the rest of the statement where it says that Part 15
devices must *accept* interference from other, licensed users.

Do you think we need testimonials from representative of the
various industries that depend upon our services?

It would appear that even the networks who air the productions
that depend on the wireless microphones are more concerned
about protecting the new digital broadcasting bandwidth of
their OTA affiliates than they are about the wireless mics
that are used to produce that sound they are broadcasting.
Sounds like a definite PR problem to me.

Here in the U.K. it took the multimillion £ theatre industry (mostly
based in London) to get a hold put on our frequency sell off.
