aspen admitted to me the software never worked well... i have it
somewhere... it needs win 98 to run nothing latter... i never ran it..
it never loaded right....

Aspen ROQ-4 NP-1 Battery Charger

Charges NiCad or NiMH NP batteries NOT LITHIUM

Four-Channel Sequential (one after the other) fast charger /
discharger for NP batteries, equipped with general-purpose 4 XLR port
for charging NP/Brick or Belt style batteries.

Universal AC input voltage compatible for worldwide usage 90-240V AC.
The discharge facility works well and is a must use for NP-1 NiCads.
It does not "refresh" NiCads once abused, but keeps them in the best
shape possible for the 18 months of their life.

If you need your batteries re-celled, see the NiCad Lady site -- does
a workable job on NP-1 but not terrifically clean. Now out of business

Solid Red: Charging
Flashing Amber: Charge Waiting - (The amber looks like orange to me)
Flashing Green: Discharging (Fan running)
Solid Amber: Discharge Waiting
Flashing Red: Battery Voltage too high or too low to charge
Solid Green: Fully Charged / Trickle Charging

Press and hold buttons in front to make yellowish lights come on
blinking. This discharges the battery to a safe "empty" level
(probably 1.0V per cell) and then recharges it. This should be a
monthly routine with all Nicads, used or not... especially when not
used.

Anton Bauer bought Aspen, (changed the name to Askept????) and then
immediately discontinued any NP1 style batteries and chargers. Aspen
once issued software to trace batteries by serial number and record
state of "goodness." It was written for Win98 and never worked right
according to the developer at Bauer (now). I could not get it to work
on a Win98SE machine. It uses the 9 pin "D" type connector in back.
This is the last of the solid chargers -- no cheap plastic anywhere.
Fan inside to cool when discharging.
